Dr. Timothy H. Seidlitz
Dr. Seidlitz grew up through high school in Redlands, California, and has worked in the healthcare field since 1974. He graduated from the University of California, at Davis after obtaining his Bachelors and Masters degrees and was a Distinguished Military Graduate in the Army R.O.T.C. program. He served five years in the US Army as a battalion medical platoon leader in the 2nd Armored Division for one year and then as a Helicopter Med-Evac Aviation Officer and Pilot for the remainder of his active duty time. As an Optometric Physician he practiced in numerous eye care settings, including March and Norton Air Force bases, San Bernardino Juvenile Hall Vision Therapy Section, Long Beach Terminal Island Naval Air Station, and the Brentwood Veterans Administration Hospital before taking over a long-established private practice in Dunsmuir, California where he provided eye care to southern Siskiyou and northern Shasta counties for nearly 40 years before retiring in 2021.
He is especially interested in conditions like macular degeneration, cataracts, diabetes, rosacea, and lymph edema and how they are affected by diet and lifestyle. He is a professional photographer and target shooter of rifles, pistols, and shotguns. All of these qualifications make him an expert resource for visual, healthy lifestyle, photographic, shooting and/or aviation questions or needs.
Dr. Seidlitz is a nationally Board Certified Massage Therapist with emphasis in whole-body detoxification as well as cellulite reduction through LDT lymphatic and manual therapy. He is a certified Watsu Therapist. He and his wife are certified Associated Raw Foods Chefs and Instructors, have four grown children, three granddaughters, four grandsons and are active in their local church.
